2019 Austrian Philharmoniker 24K Gilded Silver Coin
The Austrian Silver Philharmonic Coin is a celebration of the nations beloved Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. First formed in 1842, the orchestra is a cultural icon for Austrians and is regularly considered to be one of the finest performing orchestras in the world today.
On the obverse of all 2019 Austrian Silver Philharmonic Coins is the image of the Great Organ found inside of the Musikverein Golden Hall. Located in the Innere Stadt borough of Vienna, the national capital, all home performances by the Vienna Philharmonic occur in this building.
The reverse of the 2019 Austrian Silver Philharmonic Coin includes a collection of musical instruments commonly used by the members of the orchestra. Included in the design are a harp, violin, cello, flute bassoon, and French horn. All engravings on both sides of the coin are in German, the official language of Austria.
