In Greek mythology, Stymphalian Birds were monstrous birds with bronze feathers, beaks and claws. They fed on human flesh and captured their victims by piercing them with their bronze feathers that acted as darts. The reverse of the coin depicts the wonderful image of Hercules with a bow shooting is arrows against the Stymphalian Birds. At the top of the reverse is the inscription: "STYMPHALIAN BIRDS" - the name of the coin. The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, surrounded by the twelve labours of Hercules with the image of the Golden Birds. All around the obverse are the inscriptions: "TWELVE LABOURS OF HERCULES" - the name of the series, "ELIZABETH II" - the name of the Queen, "5 DOLLARS" - the face value, "2022" - the year of issue, "NIUE" - the country of issue and "Ag999" - the fineness of the Silver.
