The reverse of the coin presents the design of a wolf in Silver howling at the moon with a realistic and coulored background. The obverse of the coin depicts three wolves walking and howling, the Coat of Arms of Chad and the inscriptions: “REPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD” – the issuing country and “10000 FRANCS CFA” – the face value. The coin is made with a new minting technique, called “Bi-Metal Plus”, applied to give an impressive size and weight. This is made possible by combining 11.5 Oz of Copper embodied within 2 Oz of pure Silver to deliver a super Ultra-High Relief.
