The reverse of this magnificent coin highlights the architectural wonder of St. Peter’s Basilica, a cultural, historical and architectural landmark, which holds within itself treasures from millennia including paintings, sculptures, artefacts and more. The artful red Tiffany style glass is beautifully integrated in this coin. At the top left of the reverse, the inscription: “SAN PIETRO IN VATICANO” - the name of the coin. The obverse of the coin features a glimpse of the captivating interior of the basilica. Beneath the central dome and above the tomb of St Peter rises Bernini’s divine baldachin. The red luminous Tiffany glass draws attention by revealing the blueprint of the entire cathedral. At the bottom, the inscriptions: “Tiffany Art 2022 Metropolis” – the name of the series and the year of issue.
