The reverse of the coin depicts an incredibly detailed image of Demeter, the goddess of fertility, the guardian of life. She personifies Mother Earth, who helps the living and accepts the dead. She gives fruitfulness to people, fruits, plants, and animals. On the reverse, the inscription: "DEMETER" – the name of the coin. The obverse of the coin features an image of Olympus, surrounded by a laurel wreath and the typical Greek pattern. The design also incorporates the inscriptions: "REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN" – the country of issue, "2000 FRANCS CFA" – the face value, "2023" – the year of issue, "2OZ" – the weight of the coin and "Ag 999" – the fineness of the Silver.
