The reverse of the coin presents Guan Yin, believed to listen to the prayers and cries of all beings, and is considered a protector and savior of those in need. Many people pray to Guan Yin for guidance, protection, and blessings, and she is often seen as a source of comfort and solace in times of difficulty. On the obverse, a delicate representation of the Lotus flower, covered by the Chinese engravings which correspond to the prayers offered to the Bodhisattva. On the left side, the inscriptions: "REPUBLIQUE GABONAISE" - the issuing country, "2000 FRANCS CFA" - the face value, "2OZ AG999" - the weight and fineness of the precious metal and "2025" - the year of issue.
